Job Title: Senior Vice President of New Sales

Pay Range: $120,000 - $160,000
POSITION SUMMARY
As the Senior Vice President of New Sales, you will focus on identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within food distribution and manufacturing. This is a senior individual-contributor sales role responsible for identifying and building a strong pipeline, developing strategic prospect relationships, and converting qualified opportunities into new revenue. You will work closely with company leadership and operations partners to align sales activity with TEC Services’ growth objectives, while remaining directly accountable for personal new-business production and market expansion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

New Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and secure new clients and revenue streams with a focus on food manufacturing and distribution companies.
- Build a qualified pipeline through targeted outreach, industry networking, trade shows, referrals, and direct prospecting.
Sales Strategy
- Develop and execute territory and account pursuit plans focused on new business acquisition.
- Use market research, customer needs, and competitive insights to position TEC Services’ value proposition effectively.
Client Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective customers, engage senior decisionmakers, and guide opportunities through the sales process from initial outreach through proposal, negotiation, and close.
Pipeline and Performance Tracking
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity, opportunity updates, sales forecasts, and performance metrics related to new business production.
- Provide regular updates on progress, obstacles, and wins to the CEO and President.
Market Intelligence
- Stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, food manufacturing and distribution dynamics, and competitor activity.
- Use these insights to refine prospecting approaches and strengthen sales opportunities.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and other internal partners to develop accurate proposals, support customer discovery, and ensure prospective solutions are operationally feasible.
Sales Innovation
- Recommend and use effective sales techniques, outreach methods, and market approaches to improve lead generation, customer engagement, and new-business conversion.
Customer and Market Feedback
- Share actionable feedback from prospect conversations and market activity to help refine service offerings, pricing assumptions, proposal strategy, and future sales pursuits.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in sales, with a strong focus on new business development in the Food Manufacturing and Distribution sectors. Proven track record of successfully generating new business and meeting or exceeding sales targets. Experience selling services such as janitorial and sanitation programs.
- Skills: Exceptional sales skills with a deep understanding of new business acquisition strategies and techniques. Strong analytical abilities to assess market opportunities and performance metrics.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to engage, influence, and build credibility with senior decisionmakers either directly or through purchasing teams.
- Negotiation: Expertise in high-level negotiations and deal-closing strategies. Ability to travel nationally 30-50%.
