Summary
The Direct Sales Specialist position with GE Vernova (GEV) Services is a customer facing position responsible for cultivating new opportunities with existing customers and generating business with new customers. You will work with product specialists, Key Account Managers to create and develop the Service growth strategy and commercial account plan for the US Industrial Market.
Main Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify new sales leads on target market segments such as electric utilities, large industrials and renewable market, to develop new business leads.
- Convert existing leads and develop new leads on GEV Installed Base thru commercial campaigns defined by the Business Development Team.
- Serve as a conduit for detailed understanding of customer’s business model and how GEV’s products and services deliver added value to the customer
- Adapt selling material on service offering for specific segments and customers. Schedule and deliver sales pitch to prospects customers.
- Manage the relationship with the channel partners community and Key Account Managers to coordinate sales efforts.
- Track all sales activities in company CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system and keep current by updating opportunity information regularly
- Drive winning proposal strategy and process from request (RFQ) thru proposal and order.
- Review proposals and costing, as prepared by the Tendering Team, to ensure the key value proposition is presented to the customer and the pricing is in line with customer expectations and market price.
- Communicate customer and prospect product pain points to appropriate departments
- Develop new contacts and opportunities by hosting virtual customer webinars specific to each market segment by utilizing social media to increase the digital footprint of GEV Services.
- Meet and/or exceed commercial order intake targets set for the US Industrial Market.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or industrial/electric transmission, distribution or generation/renewable market experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a direct sale, business development or commercial role
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time as required
- Fluent in English
Desired Characteristics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated strong communication, and presentation skills with different levels of management, executive, engineering and operations
- 2 years of experience in electrical, utility or industrial industry
- Proven experience in a services, sales and marketing roles with multi-million-dollar budgets & performance-based Service contracts
- Proven ability to negotiate successful outcomes with customers
- Demonstrated abilities to research and analyze data in order to develop strategic and local sales opportunities and budgets

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $92,800.00 and $154,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
