About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Governments don't just need better software; they need a better way to work. The mission is clear: transform the Public Sector from fragmented legacy systems into a unified, AI-powered "Work OS."
We are looking for a Solution Engineer to be the face of Slack as the primary user interface for the entire Salesforce ecosystem. You won't just be doing demos; you’ll be architecting the "Front Door" to the mission—where humans and AI agents collaborate in real-time to serve citizens faster. You'll build relationships with key executives and technology leaders, selling directly to IT and agency leaders, while owning the technical elements of a value-oriented sales cycle. You'll showcase how Slack's next-generation user experience—powered by AI, Slackbot, and Agentforce—enables government teams to work smarter and deliver mission-critical services more effectively.

Why This Role Matters

* Defining the "Next Gen" Experience: You will lead the charge in showing how Slack + Salesforce + Agentforce creates a seamless experience that replaces the "tab-switching" fatigue of modern government work.
* AI Frontier: You’ll be at the forefront of the Slackbot revolution, demonstrating how autonomous agents live and breathe within Slack to automate workflows.
* Public Sector Impact: Your work directly helps agencies respond to crises, manage digital transformation, and improve the lives of millions of citizens.

What You’ll Do

* Partner with Account Executives: Drive complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles across Government agencies to solve diverse mission-critical challenges in citizen services, public safety, infrastructure, and community engagement
* Partner with government agencies: Design Slack-based solutions that drive value and significant impact in service delivery, operational efficiency, and citizen outcomes
* Evangelize the "Slack-First" Strategy: Show Public Sector CXOs how Slack acts as the conversational interface for Salesforce and third-party data.
* Architect Agentic Workflows: Design and demo how AI Agents (Slackbot & Agentforce) can be triggered, managed, and monitored directly within Slack channels.
* Scale the Knowledge: Enable the broader Salesforce Public Sector team on how to lead with "The Power of One"—positioning Slack as the primary engagement layer for all Salesforce clouds.

What you should have

* A Master Storyteller: You don't just list features; you paint a picture of a better future. A knack for delivering compelling presentations and product demonstrations to government audiences
* The "Slack-Fluent" Architect: You understand that Slack is a platform (APIs, Workflows, Integrations), not just a messaging tool.
* AI Enthusiast: Understanding of how modern AI tools like Slackbot and Agentforce transform work and enable autonomous task completion
* Public Sector Savvy: You understand the unique security, compliance, and cultural nuances of government agencies.
* Recommended 4-6 Enterprise years of sales engineering or solution consulting experience in a SaaS organization
* Slack Experience Required
* Salesforce experience preferred
* Experience selling to Government agencies, with understanding of public sector procurement processes, compliance requirements, and mission-driven priorities
* Ability to thrive and adapt to a rapidly evolving product and market that will define the future of work in the public sector

Unleash Your Potential
