🇦🇺 Heads up! This role is based in-person at our office in Chicago, USA. 🇦🇺

🌎 About Askable

Hey, we're Askable, the world's most loved user research platform. Loved by Doordash, Sephora, Toyota, McDonald's, Mastercard, Canva, BBC and hundreds more. We help teams run better research faster, from participant recruitment to insights, so they can build products people actually want. Started in 2017 in Brisbane, now with offices in London and Chicago, and growing fast across the US.

About the role

Own how Askable shows up across social and community, with primary focus on the US market. Build a publishing rhythm worth following, presence worth being part of, a point of view worth caring about, and the systems that let the rest of the team show up too.

Most B2B social is forgettable. Same playbook, same sentence structures, same recycled "thought leadership". AI has made the wallpaper louder, not better. We want to sound like none of that. Our audience is product people, designers, and researchers who can smell B2B sludge from a mile away. They want a brand that thinks out loud, has actual opinions, and respects their time.

We have raw material most B2B brands would kill for. Insights from a million participants, product moments worth talking about, customer stories researchers want to read. We just need someone who can mine it — and build the community around it.

🛠 What you'll do

Brand, channels, and community

  • Own Askable's social channels end-to-end: content, calendar, comments, community

  • Build and nurture community presence in the spaces where our audience already lives — Slack groups, LinkedIn communities, and adjacent forums

  • Translate research insights, product moments, and customer stories into social-native formats

  • Make launches feel like moments, not press releases

  • Partner with creators, peers, and adjacent brands to amplify what we put out

Executive thought leadership

  • Ghostwrite and direct content for senior leaders so they sound like themselves, only sharper

  • Surface reactive moments that match each leader's POV and priorities

  • Build the cadence so it ships without becoming a bottleneck

Stay on top of industry trends

  • Reactive content on industry moments, measured in hours, not days

  • A point of view on the conversations our audience is already having

Sales enablement and ops

  • Make it easy for sales, product, and CX to show up on social as credible voices

  • Build smart workflows (including AI where it helps) that scale output without flattening voice

  • Set goals, kill what isn't working, shape how social and community fits into the broader marketing engine

Skills and experience you'll bring

  • 5+ years in social or community, ideally some of it at a B2B SaaS in scale-up mode

  • A portfolio that shows craft and a point of view. Not safe. Distinct.

  • You ship the work that matters most, and use systems, AI, and partners to scale the rest.

  • Genuinely AI-native in your workflow, with a track record of building systems and prompts others can use. Not "I tried ChatGPT."

  • Proven exec ghostwriting. You can hold multiple voices in your head and not let them drift.

Bonus points:

  • Light video and design (Figma, Descript, Canva, and similar)

  • Built a sales social activation program from scratch

  • Worked in research, insights, AI, or developer tools categories

  • Ran an influencer, creator, or community program end-to-end

🚀 The mindset you’ll need

  • Win as a team: Proud of your individual work, but winning as a team is what feels best. You give and take feedback well.

  • Independent and curious: No cabinets full of step-by-step instructions here. Think on your feet, manage your own workflow, ask sharp questions.

  • Growth-focused: Stretch goals energize you. Always looking for ways to improve yourself, your team, the business.

  • Quick to learn: Get up to speed on our product fast and stay current as it evolves.

——————————

🙌 Perks and benefits

  • Competitive salary

  • 401k matching

  • Great health insurance

  • Generous PTO, plus Askable Days: a bonus paid day off every month (7 weeks total)

  • International travel to our Brisbane and London offices

  • More we'll happily walk you through during the interview

🦄 Our culture

Our culture drives everything we do. We live it, breathe it, and work every day to make Askable a place where people can thrive.

We believe work should be fulfilling, exciting, and meaningful. Here, you’re not just part of a team. You’re part of a community that cares about what they’re building and how they’re building it.

In fact, we take culture so seriously that we wrote a book on it. Our Culture Book guides what we stand for, how we work, and the values that unite us—because nothing beats winning with a team you genuinely love working with. (Ask for a copy!)
