Job Description

Position Overview

As a Solutions Engineer II, you are the technical expert prospects trust during the sales conversation. You partner with Account Executives to show prospects exactly how Momentive products solve their problems, delivering in-depth demos and tailoring solutions to each prospect's requirements. You work with more independence than a Solutions Engineer and take on more complex opportunities, helping prospects say yes with confidence.

Position Summary

You will support a full pipeline of active sales opportunities, each typically moving through a 90-day (or shorter) sales cycle. You will deliver in-depth product demonstrations and presentations, design customized solutions based on customer requirements, act as the technical resource for Account Executives throughout the deal, and keep our demo environments and knowledge resources current and ready to go. You report to the Manager/Director, Solutions Engineering and work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to bring the right technical story to every opportunity.

A Day in the Life

·       Deliver in-depth product demonstrations and presentations that show the value and capabilities of our products, often across multiple opportunities in the same week.

·       Partner daily with Account Executives to win new business, providing technical expertise and sales support on opportunities moving through a 90-day (or shorter) sales cycle.

·       Meet with prospects and internal teams to understand customer requirements, then develop and implement a customized solution that speaks to their specific goals.

·       Plan and prepare for each demo, with minimal guidance, so every session runs smoothly and on time.

·       Respond to technical questions from prospects and provide product training and troubleshooting support during evaluations or pilot engagements.

·       Build and maintain demo videos and demo environments, keeping data clean and functionality ready to show.

·       Contribute to RFP responses and write clear answers to technical follow-up questions.

·       Troubleshoot and resolve demo or environment issues quickly so they don't slow down a deal.

·       Document solution details and what you hear from customers. Keep our knowledge resources current and share feedback with Product Management so it shapes what we build next.

·       Stay current on our product features, association and nonprofit technology trends, competitive products, and emerging tools.

·       Share what you know with newer Solutions Engineers, assist with customer escalations as needed, and pitch in on other duties assigned by your manager.

We are looking for someone who brings

·       Experience:

·       2-4 years of experience in a sales, technical support, or engineering role.

·       Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

·       Experience supporting associations or nonprofit organizations is a plus.

·       Technical/Computer Skills:

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

·       Ability to learn and master new software and product updates quickly.

·       Familiarity with CRM systems, Salesforce preferred.

·       Other Skills:

·       Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills — you can explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

·       Ability to work independently and manage multiple, shifting priorities across several opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

·       High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

·       Customer-first mindset with excellent service orientation.

·       Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical abilities.

·       Coachable, with a genuine desire for continuous improvement.

·       Comfortable working normal office hours with extended periods of computer use; occasional travel may be required.
