About The Opportunity 

The Finance Operations team at Wonder is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Associate, Payroll (tax payroll experience required).  This role will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, inclusive of review of timesheets and manager training. Additionally, this role will collaborate closely with our HRBPs and field managers to iterate and improve payroll processes. The ideal candidate will have prior payroll processing and labor tax experience, thrives in a collaborate environment, and excels at problem solving.  
 

The Impact You Will Make

  • Oversee and review quarterly/periodic tax filings by our third-party vendor, ADP. 

  • Track federal, state, and local tax legislation to ensure systems like Workday or ADP are updated.

  • Federal, state, and local payroll tax reconciliations and review annual payroll tax filings, including Form 941

  • Process W-2 amendments and corrections in both Workday and ADP, researching and resolving payroll tax discrepancies as needed.

  • Manage state withholding and unemployment tax accounts, inclusive of opening and closing accounts, ensuring accurate setup and ongoing compliance across systems.

  • Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, providing exceptional customer service and support. 

  • Creation and maintenance of payroll SOPs. 

What You Bring to the Table 

  • 3-5 years in payroll processing and quarterly/period tax filing review. 

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. 

  • Proficiency in Workday Payroll, HCM, Absence, and Time Tracking a plus. 

  • Experience with ADP Smart Compliance a plus. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and data integrity.

Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome—and encouraged—to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.

New York: $31.75 - $43 per hour.

Illinois: $28.60 - $38 per hour.

Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
