The Senior Consultant performs core technical work on engagements and begins to take ownership of
specific workstreams, applying U.S. federal tax accounting knowledge to deliver client value.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

People:

• Supports and mentors junior staff.

• Contributes to team development and knowledge sharing.

Client:

• Executes significant portions of tax accounting method engagements.

• Performs detailed tax research and develops technical analyses.

• Drafts technical memoranda and client deliverables.

• Interact with clients to gather data and clarify issues.

Value:

• Reviews work of consultants for accuracy.

• Manages assigned tasks within project timelines.

• Contributes to process improvements and documentation standards.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required

• CPA, JD, or Master of Taxation preferred or in progress

• 2–4 years of experience in tax consulting or corporate tax

• Excellent communication, business development, and interpersonal skills.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver’s license required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No supervisory responsibilities.
