The Senior Consultant will take a client-centric view and apply a consultative approach to understanding and solving complex problems faced by state and local education agencies in New England. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of state and local strategies that support client satisfaction and expand PCG’s impact on teaching and learning across the region. While primarily a remote role, it is expected that the successful candidate resides within New England, has a strong reputation and professional experience within the region, and is able to travel as needed to support clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes new growth strategies

  • Ensures client retention with a focus on increasing client satisfaction

  • Identifies new sales opportunities and follow-up on sales leads.

  • Understands and be an expert in complex federal regulations and requirements.

  • Analyzes and interprets federal and state law and regulation.

  • Reviews and be an expert in business operations for service and efficiency improvements.

  • Independently manages complex projects, staff and tasks with limited supervision while meeting and exceeding performance expectations.

  • Develops communication plan with clients.

  • Identifies and elicits requirements from key stakeholders in each engagement.

  • Facilitates client discussions.

  • Identifies gaps and shortcomings, and determine necessary workarounds.

  • Plans and monitors ongoing project tasks.

  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to team members.

  • Assesses best practices and compliance errors and provide technical assistance to clients.

  • Leads proposal writing teams, including writing sections, coordinating efforts, and preparing proposal submissions.

  • Prepares other written reports and materials for clients.

  • Supervises client success teams

Required Skills

  • Must be located in the New England region.
  • Strong quantitative skills and able to analyze and interpret financial data.

  • Ability to research, analyze and interpret policy, legal briefs and regulations.

  • Able to work independently and consistently achieve excellent results.

  • Able to work effectively with all members of project teams.

  • Outstanding oral and written presentation skills

  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to successfully identify new business opportunities and up-sell to existing customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or 10 years’ experience required, graduate degree preferred

  • 5-10 years’ relevant work experience

Compensation:

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.

As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $88,300-$145,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.

PCG does not sponsor newly hired foreign national workers for work authorization, including H-1B sponsorship.
