Job Description
Position overview

The Senior CX Strategist plays a pivotal role in driving Motorola Solutions’ Front-Office Transformation across the end-to-end Quote-to-Cash journey. This role bridges business strategy, service design, and seller technology to eliminate operational friction and modernize the pre-sales and sales experience.

While the initial scope focuses heavily on Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, front-office process redesign, and seller-facing technology enhancements (e.g., Salesforce guided UX, CPQ, budgetary quoting tools), this role is designed to evolve. As organizational and customer experience priorities shift across the business, the CX Strategist will flex to lead strategic experience initiatives across other critical touchpoints in the broader customer and operational ecosystem.

Your primary immediate goal is to shift sales operations from fragmented, reactive workflows to a user-centric, streamlined sales engine that accelerates deal velocity and elevates seller and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Front-Office Strategy & Journey Redesign

  • Drive end-to-end customer and seller journey mapping across key order archetypes (e.g., ASTRO P25, VESTA NXT).

  • Identify systemic friction that impact our go-to-market velocity, from product and offer launches, to customer engagement and post-sales deal handover

  • Translate front-stage seller needs and backstage operational constraints into actionable transformation roadmaps.

  • Adapt journey mapping and experience strategies as business priorities expand into new customer touchpoints and operational domains beyond the front office.

Seller Experience & Process Optimization

  • Rethink and simplify quoting and deal configuration processes—targeting a reduction in quote revisions (from 4–5 iterations) and compressing quote creation timelines.

  • Partner with Sales Engineering, RevOps, IT, and Product teams to standardize early discovery and budgetary proposal workflows.

  • Bridge the pre-sales to post-sales divide by improving data continuity, transition protocols, and project onboarding visibility.

Tooling & User-Centric Capabilities

  • Serve as the principal CX voice in defining user-centric requirements for seller tools, including Salesforce guided workflows, CPQ simplifications, and mobile/desktop budgetary apps.

  • Partner closely with UX designers, Product Managers, and IT architects to translate strategic recommendations into intuitive digital prototypes and scalable production tools.

Stakeholder Alignment & Change Management

  • Lead executive readouts, stakeholder workshops, and cross-functional alignment sessions across Sales Operations, Product Management, Finance, and IT.

  • Advocate for seller-centric design principles, ensuring technology investments focus on process simplification and data quality rather than adding software complexity.

Key Success Metrics
  • Sales Velocity & Performance (e.g. Reduction in quote cycle times, Decrease in average quote-to-order processing time, Reduction in sales administrative effort and rework)

  • Experience & Satisfaction (e.g. Increase in Seller Satisfaction, Lower Customer Effort Score)

  • Adoption & Engagement (e.g. High adoption rates of newly launched seller tools, Successful transition and operationalization of redesigned processes)

Key Competencies
  • Experience: 5+ years in a Customer Experience role, Strategy, Service Design, Sales Operations role, or equivalent

  • Methodology: Proven expertise in Service Blueprinting, User Journey Mapping, Design Thinking, and Qualitative/Quantitative Stakeholder Discovery.

  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of enterprise Quote-to-Cash workflows, CPQ systems, CRM platform capabilities (Salesforce)

  • Leadership & Influence: Ability to align cross-functional senior leadership (Sales, Product, IT, RevOps) around a unified experience vision.

  • Analytical Mindset: Skilled at mapping quantitative sales performance metrics to qualitative seller friction points.

  • Adaptability: Agility to pivot strategic focus and apply customer/user experience design methodologies across evolving business priorities.

Target Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $135,000 USD
