      What you’ll do

      The Senior Data Analyst serves as a trusted partner to Mortgage Partnership Finance (MPF) leadership by transforming complex mortgage and business data into actionable insights. This role supports strategic decision-making through in-depth portfolio analysis, risk monitoring, performance measurement, forecasting, and data-driven recommendations that enhance the effectiveness of the Bank's national whole loan mortgage purchase program.

      How you'll make an impact

      • Identify emerging trends, portfolio risks, and business opportunities through advanced analysis of mortgage performance and operational data, enabling proactive management of the MPF program.

      • Develop scalable analytical solutions, dashboards, and performance measurement frameworks that support strategic decision-making by senior management and external stakeholders.

      • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations that improve portfolio performance, strengthen risk oversight, and enhance business outcomes.

      What you can expect

      Mortgage Portfolio Analytics & Business Insights

      • Lead the development of portfolio monitoring frameworks and perform advanced analyses to assess volume, credit performance, operational effectiveness, loan quality, and emerging risks across the MPF portfolio.

      • Analyze large, complex mortgage, financial, and operational datasets to identify trends, evaluate portfolio performance, assess risk exposures, and support strategic initiatives.

      • Conduct ad hoc and exploratory analyses to address evolving business questions and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.

      Reporting & Visualization

      • Design and maintain executive-level dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations that communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and compelling manner.

      • Develop reporting solutions that provide timely visibility into portfolio performance, operational metrics, PFI activity, and key risk indicators.

      • Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders, translating technical results into business insights.

      Data Management & Automation

      • Develop automated data analyses, reporting solutions, and analytical workflows that improve efficiency, scalability, and data reliability.

      • Extract, transform, validate, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources to support business and regulatory reporting.

      • Establish and maintain data quality standards, validation controls, and governance practices to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of analytical outputs.

      • Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, advanced analytics, and automation to improve business processes and decision support capabilities.

      Leadership & Collaboration

      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Risk, Finance, Business Intelligence, Data Management, Member Services, and Mortgage Operations to address business needs and improve processes.

      • Foster a collaborative, data-driven culture by sharing knowledge, and promoting analytical best practices to junior analysts and interns.

      • Stay current on mortgage industry developments, housing finance trends, regulatory changes, analytical methodologies, and emerging technologies.

      What you'll bring

      • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.

      • 4+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, financial analysis, or a related analytical discipline.

      • Direct experience analyzing performance and risk of mortgage portfolios, mortgage-backed securities, or housing finance programs is strongly preferred.

      • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.

      • Experience translating large, complex datasets into actionable business insights and recommendations.

      • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect analytical work to organizational objectives and strategic priorities.

      • Intellectual curiosity with a desire to understand underlying business drivers and root causes.

      • Advanced SQL skills, including experience querying, transforming, validating, and analyzing large datasets in a business and professional environment are required.

      • Advanced dashboarding and data visualization skills, including experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools, are strongly preferred.

      • Experience using analytical and statistical programming tools such as Python, R, SAS, or similar platforms is strongly preferred.

      • Familiarity with advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, or process automation techniques is preferred.

      • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.

      • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and listening skills.

      • Experience preparing senior management-level presentations and data-driven business recommendations.

      • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

      • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility and influence decisions through objective analysis.

      • Self-motivated and collaborative, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

      Salary Range:

      $90,400.00 - $150,700.00

      The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.  Ultimately, in determining your pay, we may also consider your experience, and other job-related factors.
