Job Description:

Mars Snacking North America is seeking a strategic and results-driven Sr. Director, Sales Finance to serve as the primary finance partner to the Sales organization. Reporting to the CFO, this leader will shape commercial strategy, drive Revenue Growth Management (RGM), and ensure disciplined trade investment and profitable growth across a $15B business.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including Sales/Commercial Finance
  • CPA/CFA a plus
  • Experience leading large, matrixed teams in complex environments
  • Deep expertise in CPG, retail, or similar industries
  • Strong experience in Revenue Growth Management and trade investment
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive strategic outcomes

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Serve as primary finance partner to Sales Leadership, influencing strategy and decision-making
  • Lead customer and channel P&L ownership, including performance tracking and delivery of profitability targets
  • Drive Revenue Growth Management (pricing, promotions, trade optimization)
  • Align customer profitability with incentive structures and commercial priorities
  • Own Sales P&L (Net Sales, Gross-to-Net, Trade, Customer Profitability)
  • Lead forecasting, AOP, and long-range planning processes with strong focus on accuracy
  • Provide advanced analytics and insights to improve decision-making and commercial performance

Trade & Financial Governance:

  • Ensure strong Gross-to-Net governance including trade spend, deductions, and accruals
  • Partner with Internal Audit and Controllership to ensure audit readiness and compliance
  • Implement controls to minimize financial risk and improve transparency
  • Drive reduction in value leakage (unsaleables, deductions, A/R risk, terms compliance)

Team Leadership & Ways of Working:

  • Lead a multi-layered Sales Finance organization including RFM, Demand COE, and Sales Controlling
  • Standardize financial frameworks, tools, and reporting across teams
  • Develop top finance talent and build strong leadership pipeline
  • Foster high-performance culture with accountability and continuous improvement

Transformation & Capability Building:

  • Enhance financial systems, planning tools, and analytics capabilities
  • Increase visibility into trade, customer profitability, and performance drivers
  • Drive simplification and digital enablement across Sales Finance processes

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 232,000.00 - USD 319,000.00
