We're searching for a U.S.-based Senior People Business Partner to join our People Partners team, so that we can align people strategies with organizational priorities and translate business direction into actionable workforce, talent, organizational design, and engagement plans. This role will serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders across two distinct business areas with different priorities, stakeholder styles, and transformation needs. 

The Senior People Business Partner will lead and coach a small People Partner team while focusing on senior leader partnership, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, talent strategy, engagement actions, and transformation support. This role will help leaders identify the people implications of business decisions, diagnose root causes behind talent and organizational challenges, and develop practical solutions that support scalable growth, operational effectiveness, and stronger business outcomes. 
 

How You'll Spend Your Time 

  • Develop multi-year people strategy initiatives to align business priorities with workforce, talent, engagement, and organizational design plans 

  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders in order to influence decision-making through business-focused people insights 

  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, talent strategy, and succession planning to ensure the business has the right talent and structure to scale 

  • Lead and coach People team members to support managers and employees through complex situations and higher-risk employee relations matters 

  • Identify opportunities where AI, automation, and process improvements can improve how work gets done in order to support scalable business operations 

  • Analyze people data and business trends in order to turn complex analytics into clear, compelling narratives for senior leaders 

  • Drive change management and transformation initiatives to protect employee engagement and organizational effectiveness during periods of change 

 

What Kind of Things We're Most Interested in You Having 

  • Strong strategic People Business Partnering experience with senior leaders 

  • Proven success building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, gaining buy-in, and pushing back appropriately when needed 

  • Experience supporting multiple business areas with different priorities, operating styles, and transformation needs 

  • In-depth knowledge on how to assess complex business and workforce challenges and uncover the underlying drivers 

  • Experience with workforce planning, talent strategy, organizational design, engagement action planning, and change management 

  • Experience coaching team members and business leaders through complex manager and employee situations 

  • A strong data storytelling mindset, with the ability to interpret people data and present insights that drive business decisions 

  • Curiosity toward technology, AI, and automation, with an interest in helping the business work more efficiently 

  • Proven success leading organizational change initiatives, including communication, stakeholder alignment, and implementation planning 

  • Ability to commute to our Chicago, IL office one day a week 

  • Sincere interest in shaping people strategies that support stronger business performance 

  • A knack for working collaboratively across functions within a fast-paced environment
