Is This You?
You're a search-savvy strategist who brings something extra to the table: you can write. Not just content briefs and optimization notes, but the actual copy — web pages, long-form articles, editorial content — written with the precision of someone who understands search intent and the instincts of someone who understands an audience.
You're fluent across the full spectrum of SEO: on-page, off-page, local, and technical. But where you stand out is your ability to take a keyword strategy and turn it into content that earns both rankings and readers.
You've worked in an agency environment and know what it means to manage multiple clients, navigate competing priorities, and deliver quality work on a deadline. But beyond the execution, you think critically about the work itself. You're always asking what could be sharper, what's been done before that you can do better, and what the next evolution of this account, this deliverable, or this discipline looks like. You don't just want to do good work — you want every piece of work to be better than the last.
You're ready to own SEO programs end-to-end for dedicated accounts, contribute to the growth of the people around you, and push the department forward. You're curious, collaborative, and relentless about improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Own SEO strategy and activation end to end for dedicated client accounts, serving as the day-to-day lead across on-page, off-page, local, and technical disciplines
- Write and optimize web content and long-form articles (blogs, guides, resource pages) that align with keyword strategy, brand voice, and search intent — and consistently look for ways to raise the bar on quality and performance
- Develop content strategies from initial research through final copy — not just the plan, but the execution
- Conduct content audits to identify what to update, expand, consolidate, or replace, and prioritize based on performance and opportunity
- Analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into clear recommendations clients can act on — going beyond reporting to push strategic thinking forward
- Bring new ideas, approaches, and perspectives to the table: challenge assumptions, test hypotheses, and advocate for continuous improvement
- Manage channel-specific projects, reporting, and KPI tracking with strong attention to detail across multiple concurrent accounts
- Contribute to the growth of the team — sharing knowledge, elevating standards, and helping shape how we do SEO and content at RDI
- Build clear presentations, support case studies and thought leadership, and QA deliverables before they go out the door
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support integrated strategies across teams
What You Need
- 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience across on-page, technical, local, and off-page disciplines
- Agency experience strongly preferred — you understand the pace, the client relationships, and what it takes to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
- Strong writing skills with demonstrated experience producing web content and long-form articles — portfolio or work samples required
- Ability to take keyword research and translate it into content briefs, editorial direction, or finished copy
- A track record of not just executing, but improving — you can point to work you've evolved, processes you've questioned, or results you've pushed past what was expected
- Experience owning client-facing deliverables and communicating strategy and performance to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar tools
- Genuine curiosity about where search is going — AI, evolving algorithms, new content formats — and a drive to stay ahead of it
- A growth mindset that extends beyond your own development: you want the accounts, the team, and the discipline to be better because you're in the room
