Strategic Account Manager-Government & Schools

Position Summary

Support the mission, vision, and culture of Shoes For Crews by driving customer retention and maximizing revenue within an assigned portfolio of Government and School accounts. This role is responsible for building strong customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring long-term account success.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain and grow existing customer base while prospecting for new business opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Grow portfolio year over year by increasing program participation, upselling and cross selling
  • Understand the slip and fall experience within each account to sell in solutions that achieve volume and revenue growth profitably
  • Develop and implement marketing strategy to ensure customer satisfaction, drive growth of existing business, drive growth of low performing accounts, reactivating inactive accounts and adding incremental revenue
  • Develop relationships with all departments that interact with the SFC program including Safety, Procurement, Risk, Finance, Operations, Human Resources – C-suite down to end users

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Develop and expand relationships within key accounts
  • Implement account planning and manage portfolio of customers to achieve revenue and penetration objectives
  • Manage contract and RFP renewals
  • Strong capability to forecast sales
  • Attend strategic customer meetings, quarterly business reviews and attendance at trade Shows, annual industry conferences as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • The ability to work a full-time schedule
  • Up to 30% travel on a monthly basis

Skills and Abilities:

  • 5 + years in B2B sales with enterprise account and Government vertical experience preferred
  • Proven business acumen and understanding of public sector, agency (local, State and Federal) and military sales and procurement process
  • Demonstrates excellence with customer
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships and generate growth opportunities virtually, on the phone and in person
  • Successful negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Accurate and professional written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and planning skills
  • Driven to meet goals, generate results and overcome objectives
  • Proficient in Microsoft office software, and ability to use company CRM

Education:

  • High School diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree or some college preferred
  • East Coast Remote
  • Base and SIP
