We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Strategy & Analytics Lead to join our Workplace Insights team. You’ll play a critical role in shaping organizational strategy through advanced analytics, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional project execution. This role requires a strong background in workplace management, operations, and organizational optimization, and will help deliver impactful insights and drive initiatives that improve workplace performance, culture, and efficiency.


As a key member of our larger Workplace Data & Analytics team, you’ll partner with leaders to frame business questions, design and execute analytic projects, and translate your findings into actionable recommendations. Your ability to problem solve and think critically by applying structured frameworks, prioritize analytics, develop business strategies, and lead project execution will be your primary assets in this role.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Workplace Management & Strategy:
    • Lead the design and execution of comprehensive research projects focused on workplace management, organizational effectiveness, and operational optimization.
    • Focus on key areas such as organizational culture, workplace dynamics, employee engagement, workspace utilization, and workplace technology integration to inform business strategy.
    • Develop research / analytical agendas and ability to execute analyses with a focus on actionable insights and recommendations.
  2. Data Analysis & Advanced Analytics:
    • Manipulate, analyze, and visualize complex data using tools such as R and Python, ensuring the integrity and cleanliness of the data throughout the process.
    • Perform statistical analyses (e.g., ANOVAs, regressions) and implement advanced techniques (e.g., machine learning, cluster analysis, SEM, network analysis) to extract actionable insights from data.
    • Utilize neural network architectures and advanced machine learning models (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) to solve complex workplace challenges.
    • Able to balance statistical analysis with assumption-based analysis depending on data availability and project requirements.

  1. Strategic Roadmap & Execution:
    • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop strategic roadmaps that enhance workplace efficiency and align with broader organizational goals.
    • Provide strategic recommendations on workspace optimization, organizational design, and employee engagement based on research findings.
  2. Business Acumen & Decision Support:
    • Leverage strong business acumen to contextualize research insights and recommend strategies for optimizing workplace operations and organizational culture.
    • Support leadership with data-driven recommendations for improving workplace environments, increasing employee productivity, and fostering innovation.
    • Conduct research on workplace trends and emerging practices in areas such as remote work, hybrid work models, collaboration tools, and organizational health.
  3. Thought Leadership & Communication:
  • Serve as a thought leader on workplace management topics, contributing innovative ideas to improve workplace operations, employee well-being, and organizational performance.
  • Effectively communicate complex research findings to diverse stakeholders, including senior management, business managers, and executives.
  • Present research insights in clear, actionable formats that help shape strategy at the highest levels of the organization.
  1. Collaboration & Team Leadership:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Research team, HR, Operations, Facilities) to integrate research insights into key workplace management strategies.
  • Promote a collaborative and innovative environment, encouraging the sharing of insights, ideas, and best practices across departments.
  • Be curious and creative.
  1. Advanced Data Technologies & Cloud Tools:
  • Develop, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning models and neural network architectures to optimize workplace management practices.
  • Write efficient SQL code for data manipulation and create scalable solutions to analyze large datasets.
  • Utilize cloud-based data storage and analytics tools (e.g., Databricks Lakehouse) to enhance the research infrastructure and improve data accessibility.

  1. Project Management & Process Improvement:
  • Balance multiple projects and prioritize competing demands to ensure timely delivery of high-quality research and strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure continuous process improvement in research methodologies and reporting systems to enhance the effectiveness of workplace management strategies.
  • Stay calm under pressure, adapt to shifting priorities, and demonstrate flexibility in addressing emerging business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in a research or strategy role, preferably with a leading consulting firm or similar in-house insights/strategy team focused on workplace optimization or organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong expertise in workplace management, organizational design, and employee engagement with the ability to translate research findings into actionable business strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to propose and lead analytic projects, develop strategies, and deliver actionable recommendations in a business context.
  • Proficiency in using R and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Hands-on experience with statistical analyses (e.g., ANOVAs, regressions) and advanced techniques such as machine learning, cluster analysis, and SEM.
  • Proven experience communicating complex analytic concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Experience collaborating and driving results across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Organizational Behavior, Analytics, or related field.
  • Experience in workplace optimization and utilization studies, remote work strategies, workplace technology, employee engagement, or organizational strategy.
  • Experience with advanced analytics tools (e.g., machine learning, neural networks, cluster analysis, advanced analytics dashboards).
  • Familiarity with research design and survey methodology (as a supporting skill).
  • Preferred location is California (Bay area) as there will be onsite work

3Cloud offers competitive compensation. In addition to base pay employees are eligible to receive an annual discretionary/utilization bonus. If you are hired at 3Cloud your final base salary is based on factors such as skills, education, experience and/or geographic location. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above includes the full base salary range for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.

$162,800$244,200 USD
