T-Mobile is synonymous with innovation–and you could be part of the team that disrupted an entire industry! We reinvented customer service, brought real 5G to the nation, and now we’re shaping the future of technology in wireless and beyond. Our work is as exciting as it is rewarding, so consider the career opportunity below as your invitation to grow with us, make big things happen with us, above all, #BEYOU with us. Together, we won’t stop!

Get hands-on experience, training—and a leg up on a bright future.

T-Mobile didn’t become a leader by following the playbook. We got here by breaking it. We’re a disruptor that now plays on a higher tier, and we’re still raising the bar for millions of customers nationwide. If you want to work somewhere that sets the standard instead of matching it, this is your place.
This is an 11-week paid learning experience where you’ll do real work, not busywork. You’ll build relationships with other interns and leaders across the company, and you’ll be paired with mentors who will challenge you to grow skills that matter. We’ll give you hands-on projects with real stakes, and we expect your creativity and sharp ideas to make an immediate impact. You’ll work alongside T-Mobile employees who have your back and who still believe the best ideas can come from anyone.

What It’s Like

You’ll join the Enterprise Finance and Advisory Services Procurement team in Frisco, TX. You’ll sit next to your manager and a day-to-day mentor, so questions get answered fast and your work gets seen. The pace is quick and the problems are often undefined. A typical week mixes digging into supplier spend and contract data, working sessions with your mentor, check-ins with Finance, Legal, and Risk partners, and steady progress on your two big deliverables. The team is small enough that you’ll be seen and big enough that your work will matter.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work on how T-Mobile buys across Finance Operations, Consulting, Credit Risk, Collections, Fraud, and Treasury categories. You’ll build a cost and savings baseline that shows where the biggest dollar opportunities are. You’ll also help write a sourcing playbook structured to plug into AI solutions, so the team can source faster and smarter. You’ll finish the summer by presenting your findings to procurement leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a category cost and savings baseline by consolidating supplier spend and contract data, and quantify the top savings opportunities in dollars
  • Document repeatable sourcing steps, evaluation criteria, templates, and negotiation levers in a playbook designed for integration into AI solutions
  • Support supplier performance reviews and reports, and highlight areas for improvement and collaboration
  • Identify and propose procurement workflow enhancements that reduce cycle time and manual effort
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Risk, and business stakeholders to align recommendations with business objectives
  • Prepare and deliver an end-of-program impact presentation of your findings, savings opportunities, and playbook to procurement leadership

What It Takes

You’re a proactive self-starter who questions the status quo and moves with urgency. You’re curious and collaborative, you adapt quickly, and you stay organized and detail-oriented when things are ambiguous. You turn data into clear insights with a dollar impact, and you communicate them well in writing and in front of an audience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of financial concepts and cost structures, such as budgets, P&L, and total cost
  • Prior internship, co-op, or relevant coursework in finance, procurement, supply chain, or analytics (preferred)
  • Experience building a multi-tab Excel analysis or model through coursework, an internship, a club, or a capstone (preferred)
  • Case competition, finance or supply chain club involvement, or a capstone with a data component (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or generative AI tools (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of procurement principles, which can be learned on the job (preferred)

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
  • Must have one or more course(s) remaining in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program post internship
  • Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for external Summer Internships, please see Magenta Accelerator if interested

Relocation assistance will be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.

Intern wages range from $27/hour to $50/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on education/STEM vs non-STEM designation.
