Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a related field required; 5 years preferred
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Associate Degree (AA/AS) in Information Technology or related field preferred
- A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience with Virtualization, Linux, and Windows technologies
- Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system
- Experience with storage technologies (NAS, SAN) or NetApp storage arrays
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus
- Experience working in multiple project simultaneously
- Certifications - Fundamental-level vendor or industry certification: CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent
- Customer service focused with a professional, solution-oriented approach to stakeholder interactions.
- Foundational knowledge of networking concepts including VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and firewall rules.
- Ability to troubleshoot common system problems and escalate complex issues appropriately.
- Basic experience with server management software, firmware updates, and virtualization environments (e.g., VMware).
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, and Windsurf to support productivity, troubleshooting, and documentation tasks.
- Ability to understand, document, and communicate complex technical solutions in a clear and accessible way.
- Proficient skills in documentation; familiarity with tools such as Visio, LucidChart, or equivalent.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, shift focus between tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $66,000.00 to $82,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What is the ATC?
Our Advanced Technology Center (ATC) is like no other testing and research lab. We call it an ecosystem that is front ended by our WWT Platform (Website). It's the place engineers and architects go for exclusive resources, guidance and tools. In the ATC, we provide Labs, Learning Paths, Cyber Range, Proof of Concepts, Lab Hosting Programs, and WWT Research. These offerings are meant for our Customers, Partners, and Internal Employees who need training and education on the latest and greatest solutions across all technology domains.
What will you be doing?
As a Technical Solutions Engineer I within the Advanced Technology Center (ATC), you will provide hands-on support for ATC customer-facing labs and engagement work. Working under the guidance of ATC Engineers and Architects, you will assist in provisioning environments, troubleshooting system issues, and documenting solutions. The role requires foundational knowledge of networking, virtualization, and storage technologies, as well as familiarity with AI tools. Success in this position also depends on a strong customer service mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support for customers consuming ATC Labs.
- Perform quality assurance on ATC Labs to verify functionality and relevance prior to publication.
- Support Lab Builders in the development and ongoing maintenance of ATC Labs.
- Communicate with ATC stakeholders and customers via ServiceNow, email, or instant message.
- Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and lab consumption data from ServiceNow, Amplitude, and AI tools for leadership visibility.
- Install and configure basic virtualization environments, including foundational networking and storage setups.
- Perform basic administration tasks on Windows and Linux systems.
- Configure and test basic network designs under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist ATC Engineers and Architects in scoping lab requests and building lab environments aligned with test plans.
- Participate in customer engagement projects across all phases including Scoping, Building, Implementing, Teardown, and Archiving.
- Engage in WWT and vendor certification testing programs to support professional development.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
