Temporary Level II RT/MT/PT/UTT Techs with State or IRRSP Card - 2026 Fall Turnaround Work
Acuren Inspection is currently looking for temporary level II RT/MT/PT/UTT Techs with State or IRRSP card for turnaround work.
This position is part of our U.S. Workforce Deployment Team, which supports customer turnaround, outage, and project staffing needs across the country. Assignments vary in duration based on project requirements and business demand.
Responsibilities- Perform radiographic testing (RT) inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, procedures, and customer specifications.
- Perform Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT) inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, customer specifications, and written procedures.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate MT, PT, and UTT equipment to inspect piping, pressure vessels, tanks, structural steel, welds, and other industrial assets.
- Set up and operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
- Produce quality radiographs and evaluate film or digital images for acceptance.
- Interpret and document inspection results accurately.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, customer, and company radiation safety requirements.
- Establish controlled areas and ensure proper radiation boundaries are maintained.
- Complete inspection reports, exposure logs, and other required documentation.
- Maintain radiographic equipment and ensure all required calibrations and maintenance are current.
- Communicate inspection findings professionally with supervisors, customers, and team members.
- Support other NDT methods when qualified and assigned.
- Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Travel to customer locations as required.

- Current State OR IRRSP Radiographer or Trainer Card (required).
- Current Level II Radiography (RT) Certification in accordance with employer-based written practice (SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, or CP-189, as applicable).
- Current Level II MT, PT, and UTT certifications in accordance with the employer's Written Practice (SNT-TC-1A, CP-189, or NAS-410, as applicable).
- Demonstrated experience performing MT, PT, and ultrasonic thickness inspections in industrial environments.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proof of RT classroom hours
- 40HR Radiation Safety Training certification
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain customer site access requirements.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and client-required drug and alcohol screenings.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and industrial radiography practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Additional NDT certifications such as MT, PT, UT, VT, PMI, or ET a plus
- Experience working in refinery, petrochemical, pipeline, power generation, manufacturing, aerospace, or construction environments.
- TWIC Card.
Benefits
This position offers the opportunity to work on turnaround, outage, and project assignments at customer sites across the U.S. Employees are hired on a temporary, casual basis to support specific business needs. As a casual employee, this position is not eligible for company-sponsored benefits, paid holidays, or paid time off (PTO).
Working Conditions-
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights when required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, and work in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection when required.
- Industrial facilities, refineries, petrochemical plants, manufacturing facilities, power plants, pipelines, and customer job sites.
- Day, night, weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required.
- Travel may be required depending on project needs.
