Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business development within OEM accounts, with a focus on nuclear and pharmaceutical industries
  • Manage and grow an assigned territory (NC to MA), including select existing accounts and new target customers
  • Identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities for mechanical seals, rotating equipment, and related solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, OEM partners, and key decision-makers
  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and monthly reporting on bookings and performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (engineering, operations, service) to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery

Qualifications:

  • 4–5+ years of technical sales experience in mechanical seals, rotating equipment, or pumps
  •  Proven track record of closing new business and driving revenue growth (“hunter” mentality)
  • OEM sales experience strongly preferred
  • Background working with or for key competitors (e.g., John Crane, Flowserve) is a plus
  • Strong technical aptitude; engineering degree preferred but not required with relevant experience
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to travel regularly within the territory (primarily by car)
  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
