VP North America Transformation

Purpose

Shape, orchestrate, and enable the end-to-end transformation of North America's Divisions and Claims organization, while leading the reimagination of Underwriting and Claims roles to position NA for the future of insurance work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transformation Strategy & Shaping

  • Define and continuously refine the North America Divisions and Claims transformation vision, roadmap, and priorities.
  • Translate enterprise strategy into actionable NA-specific transformation initiatives.
  • Identify transformation opportunities across people, process, data, and technology dimensions.

2. Transformation Orchestration

  • Serve as the single orchestration point across NA Divisions and Claims transformation workstreams.
  • Align leaders, sponsors, and stakeholders to a common transformation agenda.
  • Drive governance, sequencing, and dependency management across interconnected initiatives.
  • Ensure transformation efforts are integrated — not siloed — across business units, functions, and geographies within NA.

3. Transformation Enablement

  • Build and sustain the operating infrastructure needed to deliver transformation at scale (frameworks, toolkits, playbooks, and change management practices).
  • Remove blockers and escalate risks that could derail transformation delivery.
  • Track and report on transformation progress, value realization, and ROI.

4. Underwriting & Claims Role Reimagination

  • Lead the end-to-end process to reimagine Underwriting and Claims roles across NA.
  • Assess the current state of roles against future-of-work trends, automation, AI/data capabilities, and evolving customer needs.
  • Design future-state role architectures that reflect new ways of working, augmented by technology.
  • Partner with Underwriting and Claims leadership to co-create role profiles, skill requirements, and workforce transition plans.
  • Ensure reimagined roles align with talent strategy, compensation frameworks, and DEI commitments.

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to NA Division Presidents, the Chief Claims Officer, and the Chief Underwriting Officer.
  • Engage business leaders, frontline managers, and employees throughout the transformation journey.
  • Represent NA transformation perspectives in enterprise-wide forums and governance bodies.
  • Build broad coalition support for change across a matrixed organization.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 12 years’ progressive experience in transformation, program management, management consulting, or a related discipline
  • Proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives within large organizations, with clear accountability for business outcomes
  • Experience working with technology and data teams, with an understanding of how technical architecture decisions impact business value and delivery sequencing
  • Prior exposure to the insurance or financial services industry
  • Demonstrated product mindset, treating transformation as an end-to-end product and balancing business value, technical feasibility, dependencies, and delivery sequence
  • Working knowledge of the insurance value chain and relevant technical/data landscape, with the ability to deepen expertise over time
  • Proactive approach to removing barriers, supporting leaders, and driving progress with minimal direction
  • Experience leading across organizational silos to manage interdependencies, resolve roadblocks, and keep milestones on track
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels, with a focus on transparency and decisive action

The pay range for the role is $176,400 to $255,600. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
