Next Generation, Inc., an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking a highly experienced Workday Solutions Architect to join our internal team full-time. This role requires deep functional and technical expertise in Workday HCM and related modules, with a strong ability to design scalable solutions, understand the final product, and provide accurate effort estimates for complex projects. You will serve as the strategic technical lead, ensuring that Workday solutions align with business objectives and deliver exceptional performance.
Job Responsibilities- Solution Architecture: Define and design Workday HCM architecture for new implementations, enhancements, and integrations.
- Estimation Expertise: Provide detailed, accurate estimates for development, configuration, and integration work; advise on resource planning and timelines.
- Technical Leadership: Oversee technical design sessions, validate configurations, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Integration Strategy: Collaborate with integration teams to design secure, scalable interfaces between Workday and external systems (payroll, benefits, finance).
- Configuration Oversight: Guide functional teams on Workday configuration for Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, and other modules.
- Performance & Scalability: Ensure solutions meet performance benchmarks and compliance requirements.
- Documentation: Produce architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and solution blueprints.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance, and IT leadership to align solutions with business goals.
- Governance & Standards: Enforce Workday security, data privacy, and compliance standards.
- Mentorship: Coach junior Workday developers and analysts.
Job Requirements
Must-Have:
- 8+ years of Workday experience, including solution architecture and technical leadership roles.
- Proven ability to estimate effort and complexity for Workday projects accurately.
- Expertise in Workday HCM, including Core HR, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, and Security.
- Strong understanding of Workday integration tools (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio) and APIs.
- Experience with Workday reporting (Advanced, Composite, Matrix) and calculated fields.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-Have:
- Workday certifications in HCM and Integration.
- Experience with Workday Extend and custom applications.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Knowledge of global HR compliance and data privacy regulations.
