HDVI pulled in $32.5MAs it works to help trucking companies save money on insurance costs, this company’s platform provides specific, real-time safety insights while collecting info from telemetric devices and sensors. Walker Sands acquired March CommunicationsHelping accelerate the growth of companies in the B2B tech space, Walker Sands acquired March Communications, a Boston-based PR agency. As a combined company, they make the fifth-largest technology-focused firm in the country, and their goal is to bring new marketing and communications capabilities to clients. [PR Web]

Cisco relocated its Midwest HQThe San Jose-based tech giant has a global employee count of 71,000. Now, after investing $21 million in its new Chicago office location, Cisco is moving into the Old Main Post Office building at 433 W. Van Buren St. The new space is large enough to accommodate 1,200 employees as Cisco plans to build out its Chicago footprint with dozens of available roles listed now. [Built In Chicago]

These Chicago tech companies made the Inc. 5000Considered some of the fastest-growing startups in the country, 213 Chicago-area companies across all industries ranked on Inc.’s latest list. The honorees are ranked by their overall revenue growth from 2017–2020.
