We're here to roll up our sleeves, turn it up loud, and usher in a new model for a new era in music. Our mission is to be a musician’s most valuable friend, and we’re passionate about providing quality service and quality gear, empowering you to create your music on your terms.

Switches+Strings was born of an all too common dilemma among musicians: How can I get my hands on the guitar I've been dying to play without having to liquidate my savings account? Even with all the incredible advancements seen by the recording and distribution side of the music industry over the past two decades, us musicians are still forced to navigate an archaic retail model and choose between dipping deep into our savings, stomaching crippling credit card interest charges, or worst of all, selling off our current, beloved instrument to buy a new one. But it doesn't have to be this way.

Enter Switches+Strings. Offering a new model for Chicagoland musicians, our tiered memberships grant musicians access to an entire warehouse of musical instruments that they're able to use for as little or as long as they desire. For a flat monthly fee that is a fraction of even the cheapest guitar at retail, musicians now have hundreds of instruments and tools at their disposal.
