Own the strategy, development, and optimization of Zoro’s order management systems and customer service tools. Lead the order lifecycle across placement, fulfillment, delivery, modifications, cancellations, and returns. Own product strategy, roadmap, discovery, prioritization, execution partnership, adoption, and value measurement for Zoro’s Cloud Platform and Software Delivery Platform. The role serves internal engineering customers, translating platform capabilities into a self-service software delivery experience. Responsibilities include defining engineering outcomes, managing backlogs, evaluating build-versus-buy decisions, establishing success metrics, coordinating with engineering leaders, and driving adoption of cloud infrastructure and developer tooling.

Leads end-to-end post-delivery operations, including returns, replacements, warranty claims, warehouse operations, and delivery exceptions. Develops scalable operating strategies, processes, service standards, KPIs, and business cases; improves performance through automation, Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimization. Manages third-party logistics vendors, leads cross-functional initiatives, presents recommendations to senior leadership, and develops employees through coaching and succession planning.

Lead development of customer-focused messaging and content strategies across segments. Create strategic creative briefs, maintain a segment-driven content calendar, partner with creative and campaign teams, and use analytics to evaluate content performance and optimize messaging throughout the customer journey.

Backend-focused Software Engineer on the Search team building scalable, secure cloud-based ETL pipelines and APIs. Work includes GCP-based data processing, infrastructure-as-code deployments, testing, CI, AI-driven workflows, code/design reviews, A/B experiments, incident ownership, and cross-functional collaboration to improve search functionality and platform reliability.

Design, build, deploy, and operate production APIs, backend services, libraries, operational data stores, and data-processing systems. Participate in design reviews, own on-call responsibilities, ensure reliability for retries, idempotency, and schema changes, and use AI-assisted engineering throughout the software lifecycle.

Manage medium-sized or mature, high-impact product categories to drive sales, profitability, assortment, and supplier performance.
