Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is looking for an Associate Test & Evaluation Lab Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT.
In this role, you will be essential to our operations, focusing on the calibration of various Measurement and Test Equipment and the development of procedures for test equipment. Boeing's metrology parameters include fiber optic, Photometry and radiometry.

In this role, you will be essential to our operations, focusing on the calibration of various Measurement and Test Equipment and the development of procedures for test equipment. Boeing's metrology parameters include fiber optic, Photometry and radiometry.
Position Responsibilities:
- Plan, check, set up, and operate, basic and advanced Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment
- Use dimensional calibration standards (gauge blocks, master rings, precision pins, CMM artifacts, optical flats, and calibrated length standards) to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE and process equipment using approved dimensional calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and manufacturer performance specifications
- Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results. Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of shop floor equipment, laboratory and test-related problems
- Use torque calibration standards (torque transducers, reference torque wrenches, and traceable standards) to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE and process equipment using approved torque calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and manufacturer performance specifications
- Coordinate with customers to calibrate stationary equipment while limiting machine downtime
- Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork
- Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes
- Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, priority list, or as assigned by team lead or manager
- Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear
- Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes
- Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes. Develop and review new calibration processes and procedures
- Perform computations necessary to analyze measurement test results
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
- 1+ years of experience in metrology and/or calibration
- Experience and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Physically able to lift 35 or more pounds during a shift
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- PMEL (Air Force) METCAL (NAVY/MARINE Corps) Training
- Experience working with disentail
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field in lieu of experience in calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
