Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Tool Coordinator to join the Tool Services team located in Salt Lake City, UT on Shift 2.
Successful candidates can assess manufacturing requirements and verify customer requests, coordinate with support organizations to resolve manufacturing issues and works with contract administrators to develop and maintain procurement specifications and standards. As a Tool Coordinator you will provides guidance and improvement suggestions to outside suppliers and other analysts, participate in the analysis and research of new technology to provide state of the art cost-effective products and gathers manufacturing and product information to develop and recommend solutions to manufacturing requirements. In this role you will also investigate changes in manufacturing requirements and support emergent requests, analyze and oversees procurement processes for manufacturing tool services products and services and work under limited supervision.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • 1+ years assessing manufacturing requirements and verifying customer requests.
  • 1+ years coordinating with support organizations to resolve tool function issues.
  • Hands-on experience working with and performing basic maintenance/repairs on pneumatic tools (e.g., impact wrenches, grinders, riveters), battery-operated power tools (cordless drills, drivers, etc.), and common hand tools (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers).
  • Demonstrated ability to safely use shop equipment and follow lockout/tagout, PPE, and tool safety procedures.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with examples of diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Experience managing certified-tool programs and tool-room operations, including inventory control, recertification/calibration, and documentation.
  • Experience performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, or refurbishment of pneumatic and battery-operated tools; familiarity with vendor repair processes or recommended service procedures.
  • Familiarity with power tool battery care and safety, pneumatic system basics (air supply, fittings, regulators), and torque/fastener control best practices.
  • Proven track record as a collaborative problem solver who has partnered across Manufacturing, Operations, and suppliers to resolve issues and implement process improvements.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $52,500 - 57,500
