Job Description

Contract Duration: 12 months

Pay rate: $24.50/hr

Selected candidate will join the reconciliation team. 

Key Responsibilities 

This is a very dynamic and evolving function with a significant transformational element. The team have to quickly gain credibility and operational excellence in its own service offering whilst at the same time build multi-functional relationships both within the client operation's but also into our client base. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Become proficient in the reconciliation process 

• Be a change agent, leading and delivering upon change initiatives within the context of the reconciliation function 

• Partner with the other regional teams to help move this team into a true global service model 

• Pro-actively challenge the status quo, identify and drive change to improve upon the current model 

• Inject governance, reporting and transparency into the day to day activities 

• Negotiate delicate decision points around client on-boarding choices using a commercial, control and pragmatic mind-set 

• Be a change agent, leading and delivering upon change initiatives within the context of the reconciliation function

Qualifications

Skills / Experience 

Essential: 

  • Previous Middle Office or Operations experience 
  • Familiarity with markets products ideally in more than one asset class
  • Structured and logical thinker 
  • Delivery focused, driven to improve 
  • Partnership and communication skills 
  • Presentation skills, able to summarise messages 
  • Strong assertiveness, listening, influencing and diplomacy skills. 
  • Ability to run effective meetings 
  • Self-motivated. 
  • Competent with MS products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio. 
  • Proven track record (5+ years) of delivering projects to plan and ability to manage multiple priorities 
  • Strong assertiveness, listening, influencing and diplomacy skills. 
  • Ability to run effective meetings, work shops and off-sites with different levels of management. 
  • Self-motivated. 
  • Competent with MS products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio. 
  • Knowledge of structured project management methods (e.g. PMBOK) 
  • Knowledge of structured business analysis (e.g. 6 Sigma) 
  • Experience of working in Financial Services, especially Investment Banking 
  • Product Knowledge: Collateral Management, Client Valuations 
  • Knowledge of Middle Office and Back Office processing (trade capture, confirmation, settlements, lifecycle management, asset servicing)
