The Director of FP&A serves as a trusted financial partner to the organization, as a direct report to the Vice President of Corporate Finance & Strategy, with visibility to the CFO and functional executive leadership, focused on understanding and analyzing financial and operational performance to drive actions and decisions in margin expansion and growth aligned with CF's strategic vision.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning processes, data, reporting and presentations
  • Prepare and lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews for executive leadership
  • Analyze financial and operational results against plans, forecasts, and external expectations
  • Partner with Accounting team in variance analysis and formulation of clear insights of financial results
  • Synthesize complex data and lead high-impact financial analysis to identify performance risks & opportunities to formulate recommendations and inform critical decisions for senior leadership
  • Develop financial models supporting earnings forecasts, capital allocation decisions, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives
  • Partner with business units and functional leaders to evaluate performance drivers and identify opportunities for growth and margin expansion
  • Partner with Commercial (Sales / Supply Chain) teams to understand market drivers, pricing, cost; challenge inputs as appropriate with fact-based analysis to develop insights and drive actions and decisions
  • Support capital planning processes, prioritization of capital investment options specifically with Manufacturing and Engineering teams, including investment analysis as required
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy, financial reporting, and analytical capabilities
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities, tools, best practices and processes to improve forecast accuracy and insight, reduce lead-time and enhance analytical depth in existing processes
  • Lead and develop the corporate FP&A team, setting the vision for a high-value, high-performance team, expanding capabilities via stretch assignments and mentorship

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance or Business-segment Finance or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of public company financials and reporting, capital markets, valuation methodologies, and financial modeling
  • Experience presenting complex financial information to executive leadership and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial planning systems (Oracle and SAP)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, publicly traded company environment

Preferred

  • MBA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent advanced credential
  • Proficiency in Oracle and SAP
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, consumer products, or other industrial or chemical sector segments.
  • Prior public company  experience
  • Experience supporting earnings calls, investor conferences, and Board presentations

Estimated base pay for the position is typically between: $143,500 - $201,900.

The actual base pay for the position may be influenced by factors such as education, training, skills, qualifications, competencies, years of experience, job-related knowledge, and scope of the role, and could be outside of the posted pay range. ​

In addition to base pay, an incentive program is available to all full-time employees, and a comprehensive benefits package including two medical plan options, a health savings plan with a company contribution and a match, dental and vision benefits, a well-being incentive program, 401(k) Plan which provides a potential of receiving between 10% and 13% of employer’s contribution, life and disability insurance, paid time off programs and much more!
