Requires in-office presence at least 2 days per week in the Chicago HQ office for EXSIF. Position also requires +/- 10% travel, with some international travel.

Job Summary

The Global Marketing Manager is responsible for managing EXSIF’s overall marketing strategy, brand presence, and communications spanning digital channels, sales literature, promotional materials, and marketing collateral. The candidate will develop and execute EXSIF’s strategic marketing plan to drive sales growth, build brand awareness, and support commercial teams across global markets. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor, equally comfortable developing go-to-market strategy and independently producing polished, professional sales materials.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing

  • Own and evolve the EXSIF brand across all touchpoints (visual identity, messaging, tone, and positioning) ensuring consistency across a global, multi-audience organization.
  • Lead market research and segmentation efforts to uncover the viability of current and existing products/services across priority verticals including chemicals, industrial gases, semiconductors, mining, and food-grade.
  • Manage and coordinate marketing and creative vendors for web, promotion, trade shows, graphics, and collateral.
  • Collaborate with trade publications to place ads and distribute news releases.
  • Brainstorm ideas for new campaigns, create content for social platforms, and draft press releases.
  • Coordinate with the sales team and other departments to produce effective go-to-market strategies and sales campaigns.
  • Analyze data to evaluate the success of marketing efforts and develop new ideas to improve brand marketing and exposure.
  • Manage the company website; make content updates as necessary in WordPress.

Sales Literature and Design

  • Design and produce sales literature end-to-end from initial concept through final production-ready files including product sell sheets, capability decks, proposal templates, and segment-specific brochures.
  • Own the visual design and production of marketing materials across print and digital, including brochures, one-pagers, trade show graphics, digital ads, and presentation templates.
  • Translate complex technical and commercial value propositions into compelling, visually polished narratives for industrial buyers, procurement leaders, and executive decision makers.
  • Build and maintain a library of sales enablement materials aligned to key customer segments and product lines.
  • Work within brand guidelines while bringing creative design sensibility to all customer-facing materials.

Customer Experience and Engagement

  • Develop key customer experience metrics by segment.
  • Measure and report on customer experience performance.
  • Drive Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives.
  • Identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Coordinate requirements gathering from regional partners.
  • Lead cross-functional team to implement improvements.
  • Serve as liaison between development vendor and EXSIF IT.
  • Identify opportunities to develop relevant dashboards and reporting tools.

Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of progressive B2B marketing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to own a marketing function end-to-end, from strategy through execution, and can independently produce high-quality sales and marketing materials without relying on an external agency for every deliverable.
  • Ability to produce print and digital-ready files independently using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva for Business.
  • Proficient in WordPress content management.
  • CRM development experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus).
  • Strong market research skills including competitive analysis, buyer segmentation, and demand assessment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to easily connect with people and resolve conflicts.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Experience in industrial, logistics, specialty chemicals, energy, or adjacent sectors is strongly preferred.
  • Experience of working or living in global markets a plus.

Compensation Range: $144,000 - $176,000 USD
