Job Summary & Responsibilities

At ID Logistics, we are transforming supply chain operations through innovation, technology, and customer-focused solutions. We are seeking an experienced IT Solution Architect to lead the design of scalable, secure, and supportable technology solutions that align business needs, customer requirements, and enterprise technology strategy.

In this role, you will partner closely with Sales, Operations, customers, product teams, and technology leaders to architect solutions for new customer implementations, strategic initiatives, and enterprise-wide technology advancements. You will also play a key role in developing and maturing our Enterprise Architecture practice through the creation of standards, governance, reference architectures, and reusable solution patterns.

Work Location: Remote

Work Travel: Up to 10% company paid for travel to any of our domestic sites

Compensation: $160,000-$170,000 plus a yearly performance based bonus

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders, customers, Sales teams, product owners, and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
  • Lead solution architecture efforts for new customer opportunities, evaluating operational and technical requirements and designing end-to-end solutions.
  • Define architecture across applications, integrations, infrastructure, cloud technologies, data platforms, and security frameworks.
  • Serve as the primary architectural lead for assigned initiatives, guiding technical decisions throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Develop solution designs, implementation strategies, resource plans, cost estimates, and technology recommendations.
  • Present technical solutions to customers and executive stakeholders, clearly communicating value, risks, and implementation approaches.
  • Collaborate with technology and development teams to evaluate emerging platforms, tools, and integration approaches.
  • Establish and maintain architecture standards, reference architectures, governance processes, and documentation.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, technology roadmaps, security requirements, and operational objectives.
  • Identify solution risks, technical debt, and modernization opportunities while recommending practical mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and technology teams on architectural best practices and solution design.
Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience and a High School Diploma.
  • 7+ years of experience in Information Technology, including experience in solution architecture, application architecture, software development, integration, infrastructure, cloud engineering, or related disciplines.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions.
  • Experience participating in customer-facing solution design and RFP responses.
  • Experience translating business and operational requirements into technical architectures and implementation strategies.
  • Experience designing solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, systems integration, APIs, infrastructure, data management, and security principles.
  • Experience working with modern software development methodologies, DevOps practices, and automation tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting third-party logistics (3PL), supply chain, distribution, warehousing, transportation, or logistics environments is strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing enterprise architecture standards, governance frameworks, and reference architectures.
  • Experience with enterprise integration platforms and cloud-based architectures.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional technology initiatives involving business, operational, and technical stakeholders.
  • Architecture-related certifications (AWS, Azure, TOGAF, or similar) are preferred.
