The Market Finance Lead will collects, analyze and report on market data to connect financial outcomes with operational effectiveness. Also will review Market Financials, Claims and trend analytics, reviewing contract financials, and budget/administration development. You will report to the Regional VP, Operations.

As the Market Finance Lead you will

  • Work with Actuary, MRA, Corporate Finance, Clinical, Market Point and Providers/Hospitals/Ancillary internally

  • Work with our Value Based Providers relating financials, membership, cost and utilization reporting

  • Promote optimization inclusive of activities spanning decisions

  • Strategic planning and addressing specific performance issues across and relationships

  • Company Initiative

  • Advise regional leadership of functional strategies on matters of significance while exercising independent on complex issues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Work 8am to 5pm CST or EST hours

  • 2 or more years of project leadership experience

  • 1 or more years SQL experience or other data related tools (needs to be able to edit existing queries and ability to learn to write from scratch)

  • 3 or more years of working with Value Based Contracts (VBC) or Value Based Providers (VBP)

  • Experience advising senior leadership on financial strategies

  • Knowledge of complex accounting and financial transactions for internal and external reporting

  • Experience developing methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing data for complex analyses

  • 1 or more years of experience lead and manage special projects that may necessitate cross-functional partnerships

  • Demonstrated capability in coaching and developing associates, both formally and informally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing a team

  • Knowledge of complex accounting and financial transactions for internal and external reporting

  • Certified Public Accountant

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • 3 or more years healthcare economics or value based performance analytics experience

  • Experience in the Medicare Advantage bid process

  • 3 or more years of experience in Service Fund reporting

Work at Home

  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$104,000 - $143,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
