Own national business development for Rose Paving by hunting new accounts, building relationships with key decision-makers, driving revenue growth, preparing estimates and bids, tracking pipeline and KPIs, consulting with customers and subcontractors, and coordinating with field and administrative teams.
In this role, you will be responsible for our national business development efforts, focusing on hunting for new opportunities and growing a robust national book of Rose Paving customers. You will be responsible for opening doors, engaging with key decision-makers, and consistently filling the sales funnel with qualified prospects. Qualified candidates excel at building immediate and strong rapport with key decision-makers and have a true "hunter" mentality and a proactive "go-getter" attitude.
Specifically, you will:
- Develop and expand long-term relationships with key national accounts across the country
- Drive revenue growth by increasing market share by ways of entertainment, direct mail, referrals, advertising, trade shows, cold calls and other miscellaneous promotional activities
- Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and KPIS
- Prepare estimates used for managing purposes, such as planning, organizing, scheduling work and preparing bids
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation to assist in the preparation of time, cost, materials and labor estimates for all phases of project
- Consult with and respond to inquiries from customers and subcontractors regarding areas of expertise
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities
- Maintain close, positive working relationships with field and administrative departments
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Five years sales experience in a construction environment or to the facilities/operations market is a plus
- At least two years of outside sales experience, with prior national sales experience
- Demonstrated competency in interpreting and applying complex estimating guidelines
- Knowledgeable in and proven abilities with estimating in a paving, landscaping or construction type environment viewed as a plus
- Excellent math and geometry skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- 60% Travel
