Job Description

As a Product Manager you will be responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for new products, interfacing with engineering, business development and support teams to define and deliver compelling products. This position reports to the Head of Development Engineering.

The Product Manager is the person responsible for defining the ‘why’, ‘what,’ ‘where’, and ‘when’ of the product that the development team will build. The role of the Product Manager spans many activities from strategic to tactical and provides cross-functional leadership — bridging gaps between development, sales/business development, operations, and support.

The role is highly visible within AT and is highly technical -  the ideal candidate will have an engineering background in the technology aspects of hardware and software systems along with a strong business and customer focus.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Lead product management, including product roadmap, feature prioritization, and release planning.

  • Document customer and product requirements to drive engineering projects.

  • Develop business cases, financial justifications, and goals for new products.

  • Define product specifications and acceptance criteria.

  • Analyze customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to drive innovation.

  • Evangelize products, communicating roadmaps and value to stakeholders, customers, and partners.

  • Maintain system-level expertise across functional areas.

  • Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Manage release risks, scope, and quality.

  • Coordinate with enablement teams for product launch and delivery.

  • Support go-to-market activities and training.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of hardware and software development processes.

  • Ability to distill complex requirements for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Fast learner with strong grasp of technical concepts and business impact.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proactive, independent, and focused on solving complex problems.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and networking skills.

  • Skilled in requirements analysis, trade-off management, and MVP definition.

  • Proficient in analyzing market trends, financial data, and competitive intelligence.

  • Ability to build consensus to drive product launch decisions.

  • US Government procurement experience a plus.

  • Ability to travel (5-25%).

  • Candidates must be able to work on site 5 days a week at the Schaumburg office.
