Wieland is hiring a Quality Supervisor. The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of Quality Assurance activities for the company. This will involve maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 certification and handling of the internal and external complaints . This role is located in Wheeling, IL and will be fully on-site.  


Base Salary Range: $93,000 - $106,000

May be eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based upon company performance within fiscal year cycle.  


Schedule: Monday - Friday (10am-7pm)

Responsibilities

Quality Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Investigate customer complaints to determine root cause an implementation corrective action and provide 8D reports to customer.
  • Maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification, SOPs, Work Instructions and Quality records.
  • Lead and supervise the quality team, assigning tasks and monitoring their performance.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, supply chain, and other departments to address quality-related issues.
  • Review new items or existing items for feasibility and/or improving the quality capability.
  • Provide timely reports to Management for review for continuous Improvement and drive down the cost of Quality.

Quality Supervisor Qualifications:

  • BS in Material Science or Engineering or equivalent experience. ASQ certification desirable.
  • Experience in implementation of ISO certifications, PPAP, Process FMEA and Control Plan.
  • Familiar with SAP or other IT modules to handle QC functions.
  • Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Deals effectively with all levels of personnel, internal and external.
  • Maintain professional contacts with domestic and international representative.
  • Performs to a high level of self-discipline and ethics to protect the company’s interests.
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and information orally and in writing in one on one and group situations, meetings and conducting presentations.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Production and office environment with daily administrative duties, involves periods of sitting at desk and computer, standing, walking, and negotiating stairs, ladders, elevated catwalks and platforms in hot or cold production environment on slippery surfaces for the purpose of directing operations and evaluating situations.
  • Perform duties under pressure of deadlines.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5%.
