What you’ll be doing…

As a Senior Manager of Technical Project Management within Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), you will lead the end-to-end technical strategy, architecture, and delivery for two flagship initiatives: AI Skills for America and Verizon Innovative Learning HQ (VIL HQ). You will provide technical governance and matrixed project leadership across internal engineering teams, vendor partners, and technical resources—overseeing end-to-end SDLC execution, systems engineering alignment, platform security, and sprint delivery to scale impact-driven digital platforms.

Bridging business vision with technical execution, you will partner directly with Global Technology Solutions (GTS), external vendors, CMI, and governance teams. In this role, you will drive the platforms that power Verizon’s strategic commitments to equip workers with future-ready AI skills and reach 10 million students by 2030 with emerging technology resources.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Driving technical roadmaps and release delivery for AI Skills for America and VIL HQ, managing both enterprise enhancements and BAU updates.
  • Translating business needs into technical specifications in partnership with UX, Product, and GTS engineering teams.
  • Ensure system scalability, reliability, dependency mapping, and risk management across cloud platforms to maintain continuous uptime as user adoption grows.
  • Serving as primary technical liaison and SME, aligning internal teams (GTS, Legal, CMI, Finance) and external partners/vendors.
  • Navigating corporate governance and compliance, securing approvals for Privacy, Ethics, Security, Accessibility, and Global Clearance.
  • Leading vendor management and capital budgets, overseeing sourcing contracts, procurement pipelines, and monthly financial tracking.
  • Facilitating team alignment forums, including story mapping, daily GTS grooming, UAT calls, and executive status reporting.
  • Directing data strategy and impact tracking, integrating analytics sources into executive dashboards to monitor platform KPIs.
  • Championing platform enhancements through competitive analysis, analytics, and direct customer feedback models.
  • Leading project execution and resource allocation, defining scope, project plans, milestones, and budget controls to ensure on-time delivery.

What we’re looking for…

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Proven track record of tracking and delivering complex, end-to-end technical programs and multi-stakeholder digital platforms or software applications.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical change management, operational readiness, and process alignment across cross-functional enterprise teams.
  • Proven track record working with engineering teams, release management, Agile delivery methods (story mapping, grooming, UAT), and cross-platform integrations.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity creatively and collaboratively, with proven experience influencing without authority across a large enterprise.
  • Experience managing technical intake, vendor SOW reviews, and mandatory enterprise sign-offs (Security, Privacy, Accessibility) across the digital product lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated track record of advising senior leaders on technical strategy and translating complex engineering roadmaps into clear executive-level updates, decision frameworks, and recommendations.
  • Experience managing technical project budgets, tracking vendor SOWs/milestones, and managing resource allocations across partner teams.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS) and solution architecture principles.
  • Experience leading technical change management across large, highly matrixed enterprise organizations.
  • Track record of managing external vendor technical deliverables, SOW reviews, and procurement pipelines.
  • Background driving EdTech, AI/skills training tools, or social impact digital products at scale.
  • Familiarity with data analytics integration, customer feedback loops, and executive KPI dashboarding.
