Position Summary

The Senior Sourcing Manager – Mechanical Components leads a team with strategic ownership of global mechanical components, including machined, stamped, and cast categories. This role establishes and drives global category strategy by aligning closely with segment and regional sourcing teams, while partnering with product leadership, operations, and other key stakeholders. Together, these cross-functional teams develop and execute strategies that deliver value, enhance efficiency, and support long-term supply chain resilience and sustainability.

Work Type: Hybrid - This role follows a Hybrid Work Schedule requiring a minimum of 3 in‑office days per week, Monday through Thursday, at your designated Regal Rexnord office, with the option to work remotely up to 2 days per week, including Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops talent and strengthens organizational capability for strategically managing machined categories by coaching, mentoring, and upskilling team members to support effective category strategy and execution.

  • Plans, organizes, directs, and communicates all strategic sourcing activities for assigned commodities and services, collaborating closely with cross‑functional partners in supply chain, engineering, technical support, and operations.

  • Conducts brainstorming and problem‑solving sessions at facilities with cross‑functional groups to identify strategic opportunities and prioritize deployment of cost‑saving initiatives.

  • Provides oversight, guidance, and direction to sourcing and project managers to ensure effective deployment of strategic projects with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborates with global and regional supply teams to identify, assess, and qualify strategic suppliers that align with category and business objectives.

  • Partners with global facilities to build regional and global material cost‑savings funnels aligned with corporate strategies and financial targets.

  • Leads comprehensive spend analysis, developing countermeasures for projects that fall short of plan and making data‑driven decisions to resolve issues and ensure teams meet or exceed financial targets.

  • Develop and deliver category strategies that advance strategic sourcing initiatives, drive year‑over‑year cost savings, and support long‑term value creation.

  • Proactively evaluates internal and external process improvement opportunities, leading and influencing meaningful changes to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Partners with Regal Rexnord business segments to prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and oversees the screening and supplier selection process.

  • Negotiates and manages supplier contracts, including payment terms, delivery schedules, pricing, freight terms, currency exposure, raw material fluctuations, and inventory levels.

  • Analyzes market and delivery conditions to assess current and future product needs and identify potential availability risks.

  • Provides timely reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and presents strategic sourcing plans and performance updates to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required (BA or BS), preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Engineering.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment within a strategic Procurement or Supply Chain role.

  • Proven experience developing and executing global sourcing strategies.

  • Strong technical expertise in machining processes—including milling, turning, grinding, metal forming, and gear cutting—with deep understanding of manufacturing and raw material inputs for machined and stamped components.

  • Proven experience operating within a matrixed organization and managing categories at a global level.

  • Experienced in negotiating external machining processes and driving supplier development with measurable performance improvements.

  • Skilled in sourcing across low‑cost regions and managing global, multi‑region partnerships.

  • Proven success thriving in change‑intensive, high‑stretch environments.

  • Strong cost‑modeling expertise for machined, cast, and fabricated components.

  • Proven track record delivering strategic sourcing KPIs, including cost reductions and strategy deployment.

  • Able to navigate and solve complex, high‑volume, and sometimes contradictory information effectively.

Travel: Up to 20%

Compensation Details: Expected Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $168,000 
The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.
