Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a proactive Site Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of on-site project delivery. You will direct all site activities—including civil, mechanical erection, and commissioning—while managing resources, schedules, and stakeholder expectations. Acting as the primary site authority, you will manage departmental operations with a focus on technical precision and project milestones, ensuring all work aligns with established project goals and corporate safety standards.
The position can be a dedicated site or in charge of a night shift in coordination with the lead site manager during day shift.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supervisory roles (i.e. site manager) that are responsible for ENTIRE scope of site activities during ITO and/or OTR phase, acting under the direction and on behalf of the overall project leader. Leads site team and manages execution of the project scope of work. Could also be managing multiple sites for the project. Ensures schedule, quality and cost are in compliance with contractual obligations, company policy and local regulations.
  • Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

  • Defined EHS targets are met.
  • Ensure Quality at works, documentation and reporting.
  • On time delivery.
  • Ensure availability material and resource workmanship.
  • Satisfaction of the client site team.
  • Further Objectives, Targets and Performance Measurements are defined on a yearly basis     

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 7 years of relevant experience
  • OR a high school diploma / GED with 10+ years of prior hydro/generation experience, in a supervisor capacity)

Eligibility Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 90%

  • Report any quality issues and non-conformities and ensuring the site quality plan is respected at every step of the work
  • Ability to lead, motivate and empower staff
  • Excellent communication skills that will drive output
  • Perform skilled duties involving shaft line alignment, bearing settings, mechanical precision tools and measurements, setting on-site machining tools
  • Read and understand manuals, drawings, plans and specifications.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Problem solving capability
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Similar site manager position in other hydro sites int he US
  • Excellent computer skills and MS office knowledge

Working conditions

  • Potential assignment for night shift site management on major sites
  • Potential assignment to job sites for multiple months at a time (anywhere in the US)
  • Potential assignment to service sites for shorter durations (few days/weeks/months) with quick turn around (all over the US)
  • Potential work from home in between sites for preparation of offers, cost estimates, mobilization
  • Work at site is carried out both inside and outside environment with exposure to various weather conditions.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $100,000.00 and $166,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
