Honda of Libertyville, part of the Murgado Automotive Group, is seeking an experienced Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Source, evaluate, and manage used vehicle inventory to meet dealership sales goals.
  • Pricing Strategy: Set competitive pricing to optimize profitability while maintaining market alignment.
  • Team Leadership: Train, motivate, and support the used car sales team to reach individual and team targets.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and relationship-building.
  • Marketing and Advertising: Develop and execute marketing strategies for used vehicle promotions.
  • Sales Analytics: Track performance metrics, analyze data, and adjust strategies to meet dealership objectives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a used car manager, either independently or as part of a larger team
  • Experience purchasing pre-owned vehicles online or at auction
  • Longevity and stability in prior used car positions
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, vehicle valuation, and pricing strategy
  • Leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a team and build customer relationships
  • Previous finance or service experience is a plus, but not required
