PerkSpot gets $50M funding from Susquehanna Growth Equity

PerkSpot, which lets businesses give their employees discounted rates when getting goods and services at places like Apple, Target and Sprint, announced $50 million in new funding from investment firm Susquehanna Growth Equity. CEO Jace Mouse alluded to new hires and more product development coming in the future. [Built In Chicago]

Popular Pays raises $5.5M Series B

A $5.5 million Series B was raised by PopularPays, a digital platform connecting companies and content creators. Beringea spearheaded the funding with Hyde Park Angels and GoAhead VC contributing as well. The company plans to hire more staff and further develop the platform with the raise, which comes less than two years after a successful Series A funding of $5.2 million. [Built In Chicago]

Pinterest and ShopRunner move Chicago offices

Pinterest has outgrown its offices in Chicago and plans to move to a new 30,000 square foot office in the West Loop. The company, which came to Chicago in 2014, has expanded its employee count to 115 and will continue adding more staff members to its roster. [Crain’s]

ShopRunner, the membership-based e-commerce startup, is doubling its office size to 25,000 square feet with a move to a new location on N. Orleans St. Early last year, when the company initially leased the office on LaSalle it is now vacating, Crain’s reported it intended to hire around 100 new employees. [Crain’s]

LotLinx Adds Michael Morrison as senior vice president of sales

AI-based digital automotive marketing startup LotLinx announced the hiring of Michael Morrison as senior vice president of sales. Morrison, who was previously managing director of North America at Nielsen, will bring a decade of sales leadership experience across a number of industries to his new role.
