CHICAGO TECH QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“We’re building Trala because we believe that everyone should have access to the gift of making music. This support shows us that the music education industry can and will evolve with the times. This new funding means that we can continue to refine Trala’s curriculum and technology to empower anyone, at any age, to learn to play an instrument.” — Sam Walder, CEO and co-founder of Trala

Trala raised $6.9M. The Trala app was developed to help people learn to play the violin. Since its launch, it has been downloaded by over 400,000 people across 193 countries. The recent funding round will go toward the app’s curriculum and technology. [Built In Chicago]
