Urban Initiatives

Urban Initiatives is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization that runs youth development programs in Chicago Public Schools. Founded in 2003, it uses sport and play to empower Chicago’s youth to achieve academic success, develop social-emotional skills, and build social capital. The organization serves approximately 85 schools throughout Chicago and delivers programming centered on youth development through athletics and play.
