Senior underwriter for Wholesale Financial Lines (D&O, Employment Practices, Fiduciary) focused on growing Midwest wholesale broker business. Responsibilities include underwriting new and renewal accounts, analyzing applications and financials, negotiating policy terms, marketing to brokers, developing product/marketing plans, and preparing reports and presentations to support profitable portfolio growth.

Provide expert underwriting guidance and referral approvals for Major Accounts Casualty (auto, general liability, workers compensation). Align Primary and Excess placements, evaluate portfolio performance, advise on exposure/coverage/pricing, drive technical underwriting improvements, and collaborate with underwriting leaders, claims, actuarial, and product teams.

Lead underwriting for large construction Primary Casualty accounts (WC, GL, Auto); provide technical expertise, referral approvals, portfolio performance analysis, and collaborate with leaders, claims, actuarial, and product teams to improve underwriting strategies and results.

Underwrite and market complex shared and layered retail property accounts. Build broker relationships, analyze loss history and financials, negotiate policy terms including manuscript wording, develop marketing plans, mentor junior underwriters, and support product line initiatives and special projects to drive profitable growth.

Perform advanced actuarial analyses to price casualty reinsurance (umbrella, professional liability, multi-line), prepare research and reports, communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, document methods, mentor junior staff, and direct development of actuarial tools to support business strategy and financial objectives.
