Uber will bring the Puppy Bowl to your office on Wednesday

As far as hump days go, few are as insurmountable as the one that marks the midway point between the beginning of February and Super Bowl weekend.

As a consolation prize for Chicagoans, whose Super Bowl dreams were dashed before last year’s football season even started, Animal Planet is collaborating with

and The Anti Cruelty Society to bring the Puppy Bowl — a sports-themed pet adoption extravaganza — to your office.

To pawicipate in the program, all you need to do is open your Uber app between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, and type in the promo code “PUPPIES.” This will bring up a PUPPIES option on the slider menu where you usually choose between ride options. If you’re lucky enough to get in on the cuteness extravaganza, a squad of puppy athletes will arrive with a pack of coaches and play for 15 minutes.

Participants will be charged a $30 fee which will be matched by Animal Planet and donated to participating animal welfare organizations.

Many participating puppies are eligible to be drafted for your home squad — ask the human entourage for details.

Prior to requesting your personal Puppy Bowl, be sure to check with your boss or building manager to make sure canine fun is allowed in your location. Puppy playtimes work best in a dedicated room, so clear out the chairs of your conference room.

Started in 2005, the Puppy Bowl is an annual Animal Planet special aired on Super Bowl Sunday in the hours leading up to the game. Having received a massive following on social media over its 12 years in existence, games take place in the GEICO Puppy Bowl Stadium. The Puppy Bowl was watched by over 10 million live viewers last year.
