It's the end of March, so it's officially basketball time! March Madness doesn't have to be all about watching this year. Here's your chance to get some court time at Chicago's first annual Raise the Rim 3v3 charity basketball tournament.

And now, they have even more in common. On Friday, April 4th, Startup Institute is hosting Chicago’s first ever Raise the Rim. Started in 2012 in Boston, Raise the Rim has been gaining momentum and is proud to expand to the Midwest. The 3v3 charity basketball tournament brings together the local startup community to celebrate our connectedness, passion and good will towards others.

Think your team has what it takes to make it to the final two in Chicago’s startup bracket? Or, dare I say take home the trophy? Register a team of 3-6 players and here’s what you’ll get:
- A fun way to give back! All proceeds from registration go to Future Founders Foundation.
- Entry into the tournament bracket. The winning team takes home the title, a trophy, and bragging rights for a year.
- Food, drinks, and swag for all players. We startups sure love our swag, don’t we?
- Additional activities, raffles, and music to keep the energy high!
- Networking (and friendly competition) with some really fun startup people.

Be sure to register as soon as possible, as the number of teams are limited. Also be sure to spread the word around the office -- coworkers are welcome to donate and encouraged to come cheer on your team (just register as a “Community Member”).
