With the Fourth of July just around the corner, motivation to make it through the week might be slacking. To help push you through the week, we've rounded up this week's hottest events to keep you on your game — and having a bit of fun — as we approach the biggest holiday of the summer.

The Illinois SBDC at UIC and The Resurrection Project invite you to Venture Launch, part 4 of a series of 4 workshops. Areas covered include where to get required licenses, what registrations are necessary, and how to make sure you are paying the right taxes. 5. Monkey Banana Chase Challenge, June 25 at 5:45 pm

Is it possible to develop a cross platform game using .Net in two hours or less? Come watch as Karol Bort and other representatives from LeaWare talk about building cross platform apps with Xamarin utilizing MVVMCross, that integrate with web services hosted on Azure, using WebAPI and SignalR. They think it’s pretty easy to get something working using these technologies, so they’ve set themselves a challenge: while the presentation takes place, Karol’s team will attempt to create a distributed cross platform game, Banana Monkey Chase, live in front of you!
