What to Expect When Working at a Shared Office Space

Shared Office What to Expect For some, the idea of working at a shared office space can be a little unsettling. If you've worked in a traditional office environment, you may be unsure whether a shared office environment will provide the same amount of privacy as you've become accustomed to. If you've built your small business out of a home office (or kitchen table for that matter), you may think that moving to a separate office space may result in a lack of flexibility. While we can't speak for every shared office or coworking space, once you move into one of our Chicago shared offices we are confident that you'll quickly realize that you made a good move. Here's what you can expect when working at an Assemble shared office:

A Private Office

At Assemble, you can actually work out of your own office. Close your door and focus on your work when you need to. If you want to step out for some coffee, there's free Ipsento coffee right outside your door. For those coming from a traditional office environment, you'll be able to maintain the private working environment you're used to. For those leaving a coworking space or a home office, you'll find less distractions.

Peace & Quiet

It's easy to think of a shared office space as a place where people are always coming and going and there is a lot of commotion. Assemble members are considerate and professional. Even if there are some members working in one of the common areas, the space retains an environment similar to a library. Whether your business is just you or you have a team of 10, you'll find that you are able to be as productive or more productive than if you were working out of a traditional office space.

A Community at Your Doorstep

Businesses working out of a traditional office space often find it difficult to get to know other businesses in their building. It often takes moths or years to develop business relationships. Assemble provides our members with convenient opportunities to network with others working in our shared office space. Our monthly networking events are a great way to get some advice while getting to know other members. You have the ability to develop relationships with a community of hardworking Chicago small businesses without leaving your office space. If you are not sure if a shared office is right for you, we invite you to schedule a tour so you can see for yourself how Assemble works. We're confident that you'll like what you see.
