Former Trunk Club executive joins SwipeSense as VP of Engineering

Chicago, Ill., June 12, 2017— SwipeSense announced today that Mike Cruz has joined the company as its new Vice President of Engineering.  Mike was hired to lead and grow SwipeSense’s current engineering team as the company plans to expand its platform technology this year.  He joins SwipeSense with experience having been through several successful exits, including a recent exit with Trunk Club in the retail industry.

“SwipeSense is building an operating system for the hospital of the future, today,” says Mike. “Right now our platform, a combination of sensor networks, wearable technologies and big data insights, saves one life every two days.  We’re hiring and expanding the team to build more solutions and products that get us closer to saving one life every day.”

According to Mert Iseri, CEO of SwipeSense, “Mike brings the strong engineering leadership and culture that SwipeSense needs to combine our hardware, software and web teams as we transform our product into a platform.”  Mert added, “right now we are tackling a single problem in healthcare: Hospital Acquired Infections.  However, our technology has the ability to solve additional problems in hospitals and the engineering team, under Mike’s guidance, will be key in building the infrastructure to get us there.”

Mike holds a degree in industrial engineering and managerial sciences from Northwestern University.
