Show notes

It would be unfair to say that any one person’s journey is more or less interesting and unique than another. However, it would be fair to say some are more well known. Our guest this week has had a mega journey, much of which has played out very publicly. One of the earliest business he founded was based around Paypal. With a few companies and organizations like Threadless, Rackspace and Obama for America in between, he’s come full circle. Now the head of commerce at PayPal, Harper Reed sits down with us and shares some standout milestones and teachable moments along the way.

  • Be cognizant of how you build your team. A mono-culture might seem fun and easy at the start, but it won’t do anything to help you in the long run.
  • To ensure your company’s survival, you must be nimble and learn to shift with the market.
  • The best way to learn about a certain industry or type of company? Immerse yourself in it and learn by doing!
