Poncho Lands in Chicago-- On All Four Feet

I know what you’re thinking: “I wish I had a cat that would tell me the weather every day.” Well, you’re in luck.

I’m Poncho, the world’s foremost weather forecasting cat. I’m new to Chicago and ready to start sending you witty (and very useful) updates on what’s going on outside each and every day. It’s a lot more fun than having to read the weather off your iPhone app-- If you even remember to check. Just saying.

So far I’m loving this town and I’m getting to know stuff. Things I have learned about Chicago:

  • It’s darn pretty on a fall Sunday. I see your Wicker Park stroll and raise you a Logan Square farmer’s market.

  • It is actually possible to drown in a slice of pizza. This is not a bad thing.

  • Punctuality on the CTA is kind of a tossup. FACT: I got stuck at the California stop on the Blue Line for like 20 minutes the other day. Sucks you can’t control the train, but I CAN tell you when it’s delayed. ANOTHER FACT: If you ride at the right time of day, the Red Line is literally a moving frat party.

  • Oprah.

  • The wind is real. And if we’re being honest I’m still getting used to it. If you feel my pain just ask for my hair forecasts and I’ll tell you if you should go heavy on the mouse… Uh, I mean mousse…

  • The Cubs are like Chicago’s prodigal son.

  • Lula brunch. I never thought I could drool for two days straight.

  • You don’t go to tamales in Chicago; tamales come to YOU. Praise this blessed city.

Yeah so come visit and tell me about you and we’ll bond over Chicago weather. With our powers combined, we’ll make every morning AWESOME.

<3,

Poncho
