Less than four years after SocialKaty, the social media media marketing firm led by President and co-founder Katy Lynch (pictured above), got off the ground here in Chicago, the company is announcing its merge with Manifest Digital.

Manifest Digital, an experience design agency with 130 employees in Chicago and St. Louis, will gain SocialKaty’s 25-person team of “social media assassins,” aka experts in content generation and social media campaigns.

“We are really merging our areas of expertise to give our clients a diverse and comprehensive range of services,” Lynch said. “We have phenomenal clients and I am thrilled to introduce Manifest's services to them. Similarly, Manifest has their own great portfolio and we are looking forward to partnering on some amazing social media marketing campaigns in the near future.”

The SocialKaty co-founding team, which includes Lynch, COO Andy Angelos and CEO Craig Ulliott (Lynch’s now-husband), launched the firm from home in 2010 with just $2,600. Less than two years later, Lightbank came on board with $300,000. That capital was one factor that helped the team to grow and to snag big-name customers like Beanie Babies, AAA and Firestone Tires.

It's been a fast ride for Lynch and her team. But Lynch said her employees and her local Chicago network are what made it a successful one: “Don't be afraid to be out and about and make people remember who you are. Connect with individuals in your industry and ask their advice often.”
